What Can You Build?

Ballistic Plywood™ is an advanced material anyone with basic skills can build with.

A protected room is only the beginning. Build a complete Plywood Armor™ System using our Ballistic Plywood™ to protect the people, critical systems, infrastructure, and property that matter to you.

PROTECT PEOPLE

Hardened Structures

Protect selected walls, floors, and ceilings or, where appropriate, your entire room assembly.

Refuge Areas

Create a more centrally protected area within your home or building.

Dual-Use Rooms

Protect a dual-use spaces that may already serve as your retreat, office, home theater, or your children's playroom.

Personal Spaces

Build protection directly into critical protection zones such as bedrooms or closets in your home.

What Matters Most to You?

PROTECT PROPERTY & OPERATIONS

Standby Power Equipment

Protect generators while maintaining ventilation, exhaust, clearance, and service access.

Power & Battery Systems

Consider protection for selected inverters, batteries, electrical controls, and other critical equipment.

Water Systems & Infrastructure

Protect selected pumps, controls, well equipment, or other essential infrastructure.

Communications & Security

Add protection around selected communications, monitoring, networking, or control equipment.

You don't have to protect everything. Start with what matters most.

Full 4'x8' sheets give you the flexibility to imagine applications beyond predefined armor products. What would you build?

TRADITIONAL BALLISTIC CONSTRUCTION VS. BALLISTIC PLYWOOD

Ballistic Plywood changes the equation.

Traditional ballistic protection often relies upon specialized fabrication, installation, and materials like concrete or steel. You don't have to be a welder; with basic carpentry skills you can protect almost any space without excessive weight or disruption.

Traditional Construction

HEAVY

Weight can complicate

handling and construction.

Complex

Specialized systems can be

difficult to plan and integrate.

Expensive

Material, fabrication and

installation costs can add up quickly.

Ballistic Plywood™

Light-weight

Ships and handles like

standard building material.

Simple

Designed to be cut, drilled,

fastened and incorporated into

conventional construction methods.

Affordable

Significantly reduced installation

time and labor costs over

traditional systems.

Ballistic Plywood™

Built to Reduce Weight. Built to Build With.

Up to 65% lighter than certified fiberglass/Kevlar ballistic panels at comparable

protection levels, based on published market weight ranges.

Singe-Face Ballistic Plywood™

Double-Face Ballistic Plywood™

Our LifeGard™ ultra light-weight ballistic protection layer is built right into plywood panels that integrate directly into common construction assemblies to make building easier.

FORMAT

4ft × 8ft Construction Sheet

Matches standard plywood dimensions for compatibility with existing framing layouts, planning, and material handling.

CONSTRUCTION

One or Two Plywood Faces. One Protective Core. One Panel.

Plywood forms one or both outer faces, with a LifeGard™ ballistic panel factory-bonded into a single, ready-to-install unit. Configuration is matched to the application and confirmed before order acceptance.

INSTALLATION

Standard Fasteners and Tools

The plywood face accepts standard fasteners and adhesives. Works with familiar construction methods — no specialized cutting/drilling tools or training required for the panel itself.

PERFORMANCE

Protection Works as a System

The finished Plywood Armor™ protection system requires correct product assembly, seams, penetrations, transitions, fastening, structural support, and adjoining construction.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions Worth Asking Before You Build.

Is Ballistic Plywood available now?

Yes. Arctic Fox is accepting direct orders for available Ballistic Plywood configurations. Product availability, quantity and shipping timing may vary by configuration and destination.

How quickly will my order ship?

Shipping timing depends on configuration, quantity and current product availability. Your order confirmation will provide the current expected fulfillment window. Ballistic Plywood is in its initial commercial release, lead times may vary. We will not represent an order as ready to ship until supply and fulfillment are confirmed.

How much does it cost?

Current pricing is shown with each available configuration. Freight, taxes and any special delivery requirements are calculated or confirmed separately as applicable.

How will freight/shipping work?

Ballistic Plywood is a large-format construction product. Shipping method and cost depend on quantity, weight and destination. Orders may ship palletized by commercial freight. Larger orders may receive a project-specific freight quote.

What exactly is Ballistic Plywood™?

Ballistic Plywood is a bonded panel product that combines a standard plywood layer with a ballistic panel layer into a single construction unit. One product. Standard sheet format. No assembly required on site.

What is the difference between Level 3 and Level 8?

Both configurations use the same plywood layer. The difference is in the ballistic panel. Level 3 is for handguns up to 44 magnum and Level 8 is rifle-rated up to 7.62 x 51. The right choice depends on the protection objective for your specific project — refer to the product documentation or contact us directly.

Does it look different from standard plywood once installed?

No. The plywood face is exactly like standard construction plywood. The Arctic Fox LifeGard™ protective layer is concealed inside the wall assembly. There is no visual indication from the finished interior that the panel is installed.

Can I install it myself?

Yes, the panel itself is handled with standard construction methods. No specialized tools or certifications are required for panel installation. The assembly process — seams, penetrations, transitions, and fastening — does require attention to the installation guide. Correct orientation of the panel within the wall assembly is essential.

How does it fasten to the wall framing?

The plywood face accepts standard fasteners and compatible adhesives. Fastening into the plywood side is the builder-facing surface — the same approach used with standard structural panels in a wall assembly.

Can the panels be cut to size?

Yes, the panels can be cut without specialized tools. Cutting, trimming, and field modifications are addressed in the product installation guide. You receive the full documentation.

Has this product been tested?

Yes. Arctic Fox LifeGard™ protection layers have been independently tested to UL 752 ballistic test methods for Levels 3 and 8 by Element U.S. Space & Defense in Belcamp, Maryland. Configuration-specific performance data is available in the approved product documentation.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. There is no minimum order quantity, but because of shipping costs, ordering in volume is typically more economical once your project is ready.

I have a specific project. Can I talk to someone?

Yes. Email us at [email protected] or use the REQUEST PROJECT PRICING form to schedule a call. Someone from the product team will follow up directly.
